We are a small family run BHS approved livery yard and stud, one of only two in Ceredigion, where all horses are treated as our own. Because we are not a large commercial premises we can give particular attention to each horses individual requirements and we believe that just as a dry warm stable with a good bed in inclement weather is important, so is free time, out in well fenced paddocks either individually or with compatible companions. Routine to us is important which is one of the reasons why we only have full liveries, even when we have holiday liveries we like to feed in all at the same time and bed down for the night together. This way you get a holiday from mucking out and your horse will be refreshed after a good nights’ sleep. All children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times and we recommend that suitable insurance is taken out for both yourselves and your horse and equipment. All horses must be in possession of a current vaccination certificate and the owners be in possession of a passport for their animal. A copy of each document must be produced prior to your stay which will be kept with your horses record whilst on our premises with the originals being produced when you arrive. We also feel that if we make a commitment to you and your horse, you will be confident in making a commitment to us. Therefore we insist that all owners be prepared to sign a contract of acceptance of conditions.

We have a small chalet which can accommodate up to four people on a self catering basis with stabling for up to six horses or ponies including a separate stallion box. The accommodation is basic but comfortable, but we have plenty of room if you prefer to bring your own small touring caravan (overall length not to exceed 21 feet) or tent. We are conveniently located 6 miles from Tregaron and 16 miles from Aberystwyth with some spectacular local rides and are within walking distance of the local pub. For the more adventurous rider Ynyslas National Nature Reserve and Beach is a 45 minute drive away with a great expanse of sand. However, during the summer season the beach is very busy and it is advisable to ride in the very early mornings or evenings, please check tide tables. It should be stressed that the sand dunes themselves are a fragile environment and should under no circumstances be ridden in. Aberystwyth has all the usual amenities you would expect from a large town while Tregaron hosts the Welsh Gold Centre where the world famous Rhiannon jewellery is made. Also nearby is one of Europe’s largest growing peat bogs, Cors Caron Glan Teify where dozens of species of flora and forna can be observed. One of the most spectacular local sights is the rare Red Kite soaring overhead as well as Buzzards, Hen Harriers and Sparrow Hawks which are also a regular site. The CADW property, Strata Florida Abbey, is also only a short distance away with the Elan Valley being a very popular place to visit. The famous three bridge structure of Devils Bridge is only 30 minutes away and well worth a visit. The bridge is a major tourist attraction and  over the other side of the road there is access to a  longer walk to view the Mynach Falls. This longer walk also includes the precipitous stone steps of Jacob's Ladder. Devil's Bridge is served by Devil's Bridge railway station on the Vale of Rheidol Railway, which opened between Aberystwyth and Devil's Bridge in 1902.

Whether you have a horse and are looking for a holiday with your best friend or just need to get away by yourself, we would be delighted to meet you, and point you in the direction of some of the delights the Cambrian Mountains have to offer.
